Taskboard (the “App”) is a work task tracker with kanban boards, developed by Daniil (“we”, “us”, “our”). Unlike apps without accounts, Taskboard stores data on a server — a team could not work on shared tasks otherwise. Below is a straightforward account of what data is processed, why, and who can see it.
There is no self-registration in the App. Your team administrator creates your account: they enter your username, first name and last name, and hand you a temporary password. This means your organisation, not you, supplies the initial data about you.
We act as the software provider. Decisions about what data to enter into the App and who may access it are made by the organisation using it.
| Data | Purpose | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Username, first name, last name | Signing in, and showing other members who owns a task or wrote a comment | Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore |
| Email address — only if you link one yourself | Password recovery. Until you link an address, sign-in uses an internal address that cannot receive mail | Firebase Authentication |
| Password | Verifying your sign-in. Stored as an irreversible hash — neither we nor your administrator can see the password itself | Firebase Authentication |
| Work content: projects, boards, columns, tasks, descriptions, checklists, labels, comments | The App's core function | Cloud Firestore |
| Firebase technical data: IP address and request time, app installation identifier | Operating authentication and preventing abuse. Collected by the Google platform, not by us | Google infrastructure |
Within the App, your data is visible to other members of your projects, and how much is visible depends on the role your administrator assigned to you:
We, as the developer, do not read the contents of your tasks and comments. Technical access to the database exists — it is necessary for maintenance and recovery from failures — and is used only for those purposes.
Data is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure (Firebase) in the europe-west3 region (Frankfurt, Germany). Google acts as a data processor; the terms are described in the Firebase privacy policy.
If the law of your country requires personal data of its citizens to be stored on its territory, please consider this before using the App.
Data is kept for as long as your account and the projects you belong to exist. When an administrator deletes a project or a board, its tasks, comments and memberships are deleted with it — this cannot be undone.
You have the right to obtain a copy of your data, correct it, restrict its processing, or request its deletion. Some of this is available directly in the App:
Account deletion. Because accounts are created by an administrator, you cannot delete your own account from within the App. To have it deleted, contact your team administrator or write to us at the address below — we will delete the account and its profile within 30 days. Please note: tasks and comments you created belong to your organisation's workspace and remain there by default; if you require their deletion, say so in your request and we will agree it with your organisation's administrator.
The App is intended for workplace use by adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you become aware that an account has been created for a child, tell us and we will delete it.
The connection to the server is protected by TLS. Access to data is restricted by Firestore security rules enforced on the server: they determine which projects, boards and tasks a given account may reach. Passwords are stored as hashes by Firebase Authentication.
No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, write to us and we will look into it.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the App after a change, you accept the updated version.
